Resolving Conflict & Improving Lives, Since 1996
HANDS FOR HOPE PROGRAM & SERVICES
During COVID19, NCM continues its work to strengthen communities by processing applications for utility grants to avoid shut-offs and/or termination after the moratorium; emergency telephone crisis counseling, healthy food, clothes and toy distributions to provide nutrition, warmth through cold-winter months and holiday cheer; and sponsoring safe community activities to help reduce impacts of social isolation.
All programs have been adjusted to support the wearing of face masks, social distancing, temperature checks and hand sanitation:
NCM Hands for Hope outreach program consists of 4 components (hardship, life skills, recreational bonding and leadership) to strengthen relationships and inspire fulfillment that leads to child well-being, family stability and self-sufficiency. The Community Hardship project was expanded through the generosity of The Pittsburgh Foundation’s Small and Mighty grant program
