The past two years of the pandemic have exposed deep vulnerabilities in Nabhi Christian Ministries' safety net serving individuals and families. Unemployment, lost revenue from mandatory closures, and increased demand for utility assistance, food, and mental health care have placed extraordinary demands on our ability to fulfill basic needs.

Today, Aug. 9, the #ONEDAY Critical Needs Alert will help our entire community to get behind our nonprofit and the other 200+ nonprofits in Allegheny and Westmoreland counties serving vulnerable populations, in particular Black- and Brown-led nonprofits and those serving people who identify as Black, indigenous, and/or people of color (BIPOC).

Your donations (big or small) will benefit Nabhi Christian Ministries Emergency Energy Relief Assistance (EERA) hardship program created during COVID-19 by our CEO, Minister Tracee Kirkland-Rivers. EERA Emergency Response Coordinators work tirelessly 6-days a week, meeting, returning calls, completing initial assessments, collecting and uploading documents and processing applications on a secure server to request utility grants to avoid shut-offs, terminations and/or evictions and other housing threats for limited income individuals and families struggling to afford basic utility services such as gas, electricity and water. 

EERA partners with organizations such as 211, Dollar Energy fund and Peoples Gas CAP to help accomplish our goals.

Your donation will help us continue to assist people facing utility insecurity, eviction, and other threats to housing.
