From discovering a love for art and photography, to serving in emergency medical work, to becoming the beloved mailman of Penn Hills—reﬂects more than 25 years of compassionate, resilient public service. Known for going the extra mile, Joseph is a carrier whose presence is always missed and whose kindness has earned deep community admiration.

Our theme, “Discerning the Silent Cry for Help,” highlights that service often appears in quiet, consistent acts—something Joseph embodies daily. Whether caring for neighbors in diﬃcult moments, encouraging others through his own transformation, or oﬀering a simple smile and wave on his route, he shows what it means to notice the needs around us and respond with heart.
